Amser Positive Psychology takes a professional & yet relatable approach to put heart & soul into understanding a client's context and needs, & takes the headache out of scientific interpretation & application, making every client's experience as unique & as valuable as they are. By firstly supporting a systemic understanding of a client's unique context & appreciating what is already strong, we secondly, increase awareness with empowering self or organisational knowledge via interviews, feedback & psychometrics, & thirdly, tailor and equip client's with the practical tools & interventions to close the gap on their desired future. Also, a strengths-based integrated approach to coaching and consulting is assumed, which means tools, models, and interventions from other disciplines (such as Humanistic, Cognitive and Coaching Psychology, Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Intelligence, Systemic Coaching, mindfulness) are drawn on as a client's context requires.

What does your logo mean?
With an oak leaf as Amser's logo, the tree of life, and oak trees in general, offer us powerful & useful metaphors for understanding & incorporating psychological principles into our lives. The oak is revered for weathering storms, growing deep roots, & being a strong, durable timber. Each tree takes a period of 'rest' in the winter only to renew in the spring, & is also interdependent within a greater ecosystem, being supported by & yet supporting the lives of other creatures & plants; the metaphorical applications are rich & helpful, as we feed & develop our own well-being 'roots', realise our own interconnected nature, & weather life's storms together.
Love? ...even in a business context?
Yes, love in the form of compassion, empathy, support, & psychological safety is not simply a 'soft' skill that can be taken or left in this modern world, it is a critical component of high performing individuals, leaders and organisations. Cultivating a loving character or culture is not something to be left at home, but something to be fostered, praised, & encouraged. The 'tools & interventions' mentioned on this site refer to psychological tools & Positive Psychology Interventions (PPIs). Examples of these 'tools & interventions' may include mindfulness exercises, psychometric assessments, relaxation techniques, or interventions related to gratitude & strengths application. There are literally hundreds of possible tools & PPIs, all with an aim of fostering personal or professional thriving & encouraging sustainable positive change. Individuals, leaders, & organisations have unique contexts, where not every tool or intervention will be possible, practical or preferred. Amser will work with you to achieve a systemic understanding of your context & suggest appropriate tools or interventions for you to employ, but the decision to apply & practice any intervention will always be yours.
